The monument for Fusilladed Resistance Fighters. The monument is located on the former Dutch side of the base ans is the symbol for the sacrifice that 33 resistance fighters gave for freedom. Every year on November 19 there is a memorial service. The monument is an oak-wood cross, placed on a flowerbed and complete with a commemorative plate and unveiled in 1946. The wording on the plate runs: "Hier werden vele Nederlanders door Duitse hand gefusilleerd" (Here many Dutch were fusilladed by German hands). Later a second line was added that runs: "Hier werden vele Nederlanders door Duitse hand gefusilleerd R.O.I.V. Soest" (Here many Dutch were fusilladed by German hands R.O.I.V. Soest). The memorial is 50 cm high, 70 cm wide and 20 cm deep. Thanks to the RNLAF.

Demolishing of shelter A409 (TABVEE area). By order of The Dutch department of Defense a demolition firm started Summer 2009 to demolish buildings at the former Camp New Amsterdam. Shelter A409 and A410 were the first ones that met the wrecking ball. The shelters had to make way for the new fence that parts the "new" military terrain at former CNA and the County part of the base. The military terrain runs from the south side of the runway to the Avionics bunker were it connects to the current fence. Thanks to Nomen nescio.
