Other facts of the 32nd Wolfhounds

Soesterberg Air Base was a very active and diverse base. It had a unique bonding with the local Dutch and surrounding towns. Yarns, tall tales and unbelievable stories about underground tunnel systems were the chat of the base. Many functions were also held on the base and also a part of the "Wolfhound" tradition. Included are the serial numbers of aircraft that were stationed at the base. Also some of the history about crashes that occurred on or around the base.

It goes without saying that the base newspaper "The Interceptor" was award winning. A summary and photographs of the Base schools is also included in this section. For those who were stationed here at the time, who could ever forget the "scramble" to intercept a "pilot less" MiG, that ended with a crash in Belgium. Also included are stories about "Wolfhounds" and "famous"  Wolfhounds. If you have a story to relate please feel free to contact me.
