| Looking for: | Was stationed at Camp New Amsterdam from 3 Mar 76 to 3 Mar 79. Loved it! The very best assignment in the U.S. Air Force!I have so many outstanding memories! I met and married a Beautiful Filipina Lady in Amsterdam on 17 Dec 76. We lived in Baarn. We are still married! Both of us still have Dutch and Filipina friends in Holland. I worked in Transportation, as a Driver/Dispatcher. I feel it was the best job on CNA, as I got to get off base almost every day. Drove to all the Bases in Germany, at different times. Drove all over Holland, it was great!!! The dispatcher was Mr. Joop Vervat, (a very dear friend), drivers were: Mr. Van Dillen, Mr. Van Rossum, Mr. Oskam, Mr. Osnabrugge, TSgt Sargent, SSgt Thurber, Sgt Engstrom and SRA Morris. In Vehicle Maintenance the were: SMSgt Warren, MSgt Herr, TSgt Erickson, SSgt Bannister, etc... I've always held my years in Holland, and my very Dear Dutch Friends, always close to my Heart! I've had to pinch myself more than once to make sure this wasn't a dream! |

| Looking for: | I am seeking Mr. Bob Jones, my natural father, born December 27th, 1950. He was stationed at Soesterberg and lived in Hoevelaken (Kastanjelaan 3). My mother, Mrs. Christina den Hollander, met him in 1983 in the discotheque "Pinocchio" in Zeist. She suspects he was in the Netherlands since 1981. The relationship between my father and mother which began in 1983 lasted about 8 months, just before I was born, my father left for the USA. I (Stephanie Aikens) was born on December 2nd, 1984. When I was about 10 days old he returned to the Netherlands, so this was about on December 12, 1984. Still he lived in Hoevelaken and worked at Soesterberg AB. Since Mr Jones was married to an other woman at the time, he spent in America there was no longer a relationship between him and my mother. The contact between my father and mother was from around my birth only based on the friendly, because of me. In 1987 or 1988 he left Soesterberg and went to Ramstein AB, Germany. About ttwo or three years later he went back to the United States. Once left for America, I never seen or spoken to him. I hope that the story is so obvious to you, so that you could help me further or get me more information about my father. |

Steve is the painter of the Wolfhounds head on the F-15 which was delivered to the Military Museum at Soesterberg in 1994. Daniel was the initiator of this all. The reason for this search is that this F-15 is getting a new paint job, we try to save all (not) original messages and names, but the painted wolfhound on the left side underneath the canopy needs to be re-painted. I was thinking about asking the original painter to finish the job by re-painting the head. |
